Hotel overview

Located just steps from the sands of Pompano Beach, this unpretentious 3-star motel offers straightforward accommodations for travelers seeking value and easy access to the coast. Rooms come equipped with kitchenettes, perfect for preparing light meals, paired with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable stay. The outdoor pool and BBQ area provide casual spaces to unwind after a day exploring the nearby beach or golf course.

On-site convenience is a key feature here, with a Foodmart and grocery store onsite that elevates practicality, eliminating the need for long errands. Though absent of a full-service restaurant, the kitchen in rooms supports self-catering needs and keeps the experience affordable. The motel is kid-friendly but does not allow pets, catering to families and solo adventurers alike.

Travelers appreciate the friendly, no-frills approach offered by the owner and the clean, functional spaces, though the property shows its age in some areas. Its location near top local attractions such as Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and the Boca Raton resort extends options for day trips beyond the nearby shoreline.

“We just finished a three night stay here and can't say enough good things about the motel. I will start with stating that we are not fancy hotel people. We don't require lush accommodations, as we would prefer to spend that extra money on experiences since we aren't using the room to do more than sleep. Palms on Ocean fit the bill. It offered a large, clean room with a king bed and a kitchenette. The outdoor area was clean and the pool was well maintained and in the sun most of the day. The owner was extremely friendly and check-in was a breeze. The location could not be beat, either. The only suggestion I would have for the particular room we stayed in (18) would be to add a full length mirror, as the only mirror was a medicine cabinet in the small bathroom. And it would be great to provide beach towels and maybe chairs to guests (maybe charge a small deposit to ensure they are cared for and returned) to further the guest experience. Overall, a great place to stay for travelers who don't need granite countertops in their hotel bathrooms and a butler to wait on them hand and foot. We will definitely book this motel again the next time we visit Pompano!”

“Check-in was easy and quick, which is a great way to start a beach stay. Minor hiccup — misheard the room number and accidentally made fast friends with the folks in Room 10 (shoutout to them for being cool). First impression: classic-style beach motel. The king studio offered a surprisingly large, open room with a kitchenette and dining table. Fully stocked with plates, glasses, and silverware. The room is a bit dated, but everything is clean, functional, and comfortable — which honestly matters more to me than trendy finishes. The shower had excellent water pressure (always a win after a beach day), and the overall setup worked perfectly for relaxing between outings. The pool area appears to have recently updated, giving it more of a small resort vibe than a basic motel pool. There’s also a Food Mart on-site, which was super convenient, and the prices were fair — no major beach-town markup. I know some people will be quick to point out that the property could use updates, but I’m firmly in the camp that values clean rooms, comfort, good functionality, fair pricing, and quick beach access — and this place delivers on all of that. If you’re looking for luxury finishes, this ain't your spot. If you’re looking for value, location, and an easy, comfortable beach stay — it absolutely is.”
